Journeyman Auto Mechanic Job

(Full Time)

Summary of the Role

New Age Motors is currently in need of a Journeyman Auto Mechanic to join our
team. We are offering full time employment for the right candidate in a clean,
organized, new shop in the Leduc business park.

Ideal candidate should posses:

Red seal certificate
Experience in diagnosis and trouble shooting
Diesel & Gas engine experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a repair shop atmosphere
Ability to work well with other mechanics
Equipment experience (hoists, tire changers, balancers and alignment
machines)
CVIP License would be a huge asset
Knowledge in tuning, customizing, aftermarket parts
Must reside in Edmonton / Leduc area

Responsibilities & Duties:

Performing quality repairs and preventative maintenance services on
light/medium duty trucks and passenger vehicles
Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and
in a safe and responsible manner
Interpreting work orders and technical manuals
Assist in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical
failures
Ensure service documentation is completed as per instructions
Complete inspections on equipment and co-ordinate with staff on repairs
Training and/or assisting other technicians or apprentices with their work
Assist in shop cleanup and housekeeping
Perform out of province and AMVIC Inspections
General customer service

Job Details and Compensation:

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Experience: automotive technician: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

ASE Certification (required)
Driver’s License (required)

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
Additional pay: Overtime pay

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime

Work Location: In person
